Martin Truex Jr. placed the Chance 2 Motorsports Chevrolet on the Bud pole
at Nashville Superspeedway in what he termed "It was pretty wild" about his
first of his two laps during his qualifying attempt.

The No. 8 got a bit wiggling during both laps on the concrete race track,
but Truex Jr. stuck it with a lap of 28.819 seconds at 166.515 miles per
hour.  "I
was standing on the gas before hitting the middle of the track and was
hoping it (the car) would stick," expressed an excited Truex after climbing
out of the Chevy.
