Sounds like Ick - a smaller version of a big name. Same parasitic infection, 
though.
You mention adding salt - I do hope it was NON iodized salt. The next step is 
to increase the heat to about 80 degrees. If that doesn't show signs of 
improving the situation in a week to ten days, then you might be looking at a 
more intensive (ie: drug/chemical) treatment. Most involve a copper 
bstance.
