Replying to a message of Richard Webb to Cindy Haglund: RW>> For those still may be downloading mail and moving it RW>> via toll calls, or who pay for bandwidth it also saves on that. YEs, CH>> People still do that? Good to know. RW> sTill happens. NOT as often as it once did but ... This system is POTS only. I really don't see any *need* to be connected to the Internet. If I need something there I can go to either Emerson or Red Oak and use the computers they have for public use (at Emerson one has to fight with the kids to use them, though). Once upon a time everybody just HAD to have a CB radio and one couldn't get a word in edgewise on most of the bands. Hopefully the Internet will go the same way... --- FleetStreet 1.19+* Origin: Bob's Boneyard, Emerson, Iowa (1:300/3) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/201 14/300 34/999 90/1 106/1 120/228 123/500 134/10 140/1 SEEN-BY: 222/2 226/0 249/303 261/20 38 100 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 280/1027 SEEN-BY: 320/119 633/260 262 267 712/848 801/161 189 2222/700 2320/100 105 SEEN-BY: 2905/0 @PATH: 300/3 14/5 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
