NASCAR's rules for 2004 regarding race finishes came into play in the
closing moments of the Lee 150. Leader Andy Santerre received the white
flag just before the caution flag was displayed for a tangle on the back
straight. That sequence of events
locked all cars into their positions. Had the yellow flag been displayed
before Santerre took the white flag, it would have produced a
green-white-checker finish.
