Actually, I pretty much take the same approach. While I can be quite verbose
regarding my current beliefs and understanding of the Scriptures, I readily
admit that while I am quite firm in some of my beliefs, such as the fact that
Salvation only comes through faith in the atoning Sacrifice of Jesus Christ,
and that we cannot merit Salvation and Eternal Life by our own works, when it
comes to certain subjects, such as Endtime prophecy, I am not as adamant, and
can be flexible to a certain degree. I think that we both recognize that
trying to understand Endtime prophecy involves a certain degree of personal
speculation, because until it actually happens, we just don't know.

Thus, in my articles on our website, as well as here in this echo, I will be
very firm about some things, but more open to other possibilities with others.
The bottom line for me is this -- and I have always told my readers this -- if
you want to convince me of something, then the only way that you are going to
accomplish that, is by convincing me directly from the Scriptures, and by
quoting book, chapter and verse. This has been my personal practice for years,
because I want people's faith to be in God's Word, and not just in what I say.
After all, we are told that God has esteemed His Word above His very name:

"I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy
lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all
thy name."
Psalms 138:2, KJV

Faith comes by hearing the word of God, (Romans 10:17), so that is what we
need to give people in order to convince them of our views.
