Hi Tim,

I'll check my list and get back to you on who MOVER is. I want to
say off the top of my head they're either from McGuire or from
Pittsburgh but I'll check and make sure.

I sure did go to Westover. The flying at CEF was the best of any
of the air shows I went to this summer. But, oh!!! the crowd!!
Unbelievable. Only TBird freq I caught action on was 141.85.

As for the freqs the C-130s might be up on, do you have any idea
where they're from? NY ANG? USCG? Do you hear Boston center
working them at any point in time? Remember, too, that if they're
ANG aircraft, these guys love to hang out in the 137-144 MHz range
for tactical stuff. So don't overlook that area. AM mode.

During the month of August, we've had a ton of AWACS activity up
here. Quite a bit of it was associated with exercise Global Yankee.
The AWACS itself would come up from Tinker AFB and hold over Vermont;
sometimes over southern Vermont, other times up over the northwestern
part of the state. I've received reports from all over New England
from people who received it clearly. No surprise, really, as he
was orbiting at 30,000 feet or above.

Anyway, here's a bunch of freqs being used by AWACS a/c up here.
354.1 - Boston center AWACS discrete
364.2 - AICC
309.5 - Huntress (sometimes referred to as BACK BURNER)
228.7 - Huntress
251.8 - Huntress
279.5 - NY ANG Syracuse CP
292.5, 252.125, 267.875, 259.050, 237.150 - all used as tacticals
        at various times.

Aircraft call signs heard included:
Jeep - F-15s from Otis
Cobra - fighters from NY ANG Syracuse
Maple - F-16s from Vermont ANG Burlington
Chalice Delta - The AWACS
Sentry 33 - AWACS

There were apparently Blackhawk helicopters working the Ft. Drum
NY range, but I never heard any traffic directed at them; everything
I heard was directed to fighters working in the Falcon/Aks MOAs
over northern NY state.
