I'm using a Linksys WRT54GS with HyperWRT v2.0 firmware, at my house. I
have intermittent connection problems with my laptop, a Thinkpad T42
equipped with a built-in Intel 2200BG wireless adapter when using WPA
encryption. WEP seems to work OK. I'm not sure if the problems are the
fault of the Linksys router (the problem has been persistent across 2
Linksys firmware revisions and two HyperWRT revisions) or of the laptop. I
don't have any other equipment to test with, but have heard rumors of
problems with the Intel device and WPA encryption in general.

I installed an identical router (using HyperWRT v2.0 beta 4) at my son's
house in New Orleans and he and two roommates connect without problems
using Linksys wireless NICs.

I've never used any in a corporate environment. Frank Haber's mentioned
using the Linksys WRT54GS/HyperWRT combo, also.
