However, as near as I can tell, their actual ratings are only available in the form of a printed report that comes out a few times a year. Another option is Charity Navigator (http://www.charitynavigator.org/), which has detailed information about thousands of charities on its website. For example, you can see on their page about the "sister organization" mentioned in the NYT article that 32% of its money goes toward administrative and fundraising expenses. Also, it has a dodgy privacy policy. Its overall rating on CN is two stars. (Which apparently is better than AIP rated it.) By the way, I see that CN also lists organizations with similar purposes that have higher ratings, giving you some good options for your money.
