| subject: | The Pack Rat |
RW> SOunds like this is one of your now adult children doing this to you. RW> Am I right? Yes. RW> TEll him take the stuff if he wants it or it's gonna disappear into RW> the dumpster. Her. And we got rid of it. Kept some cute stuff yes but the rest is now gone. Yeah! You know what? If you have a pack rat in the family, spirit the stuff away. Say NOTHING. They'll never notice. Not for many years anyway and then they won't even know what it was, just that it's not there anymore. heh. I'm not talking about anything anyone would actually want to keep. I agree however if they catch you in the act it'. I'd deliver it to their door and let them deal with it. That was plan B. This way was easier. .... RW> I love my wife dearly, but she has those tendencies. I hate moving RW> us, as I"m in the process of it right now I"m sure i"ll be reminded My hubby does too for some things... but he's come a long way four our upcoming move. He appreciates a lighter load. Less stuff. :) The thing is if you keep stuff you don't use or need it's eventually going to get tossed out or given away anyhow. If it's something useful think of giving it away/selling it as a good deed. Someone else will make good use of it. Some things do have sentimental value, but sentiment should not replace or evade reality. RW> more and more as next couple weeks go by . Good luck. :) !! It's hard to give some stuff up but 'this too shall pass' (That is, you may feel sad for a bit but you get over it.) Cindy ... Junk - stuff we throw away. Stuff - junk we keep. --- PPoint 3.01* Origin: Up a palm tree (1:124/6308.20) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/201 14/300 34/999 90/1 106/1 120/228 123/500 134/10 140/1 SEEN-BY: 222/2 226/0 249/303 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 633/260 262 267 712/848 801/161 189 2222/700 SEEN-BY: 2320/100 105 2905/0 @PATH: 124/6308 5025 106/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
