Talking about camping? C'mon, just dive in and go already!

I tent camped with my parents when I was a kid. Waking up in 2" of water in the
middle of the night during a rainstorm was enough for me. :)

I met my wife..... "about" 10 years ago? (I'm a man, give me a
break. LOL) and
her family goes camping every year. So we joined them in their travel trailer
camper. A world of difference.

So all we could afford at the time was a pop-up camper, but still off the
ground and better than a tent. That was great until I got stuck breaking the
thing down in torrential downpours, and by that time we had better jobs and
such...

So now we have a 26' Kodiak travel trailer. We love it. We have two kids now
(one 3 *boy* and the other 9 months *girl*) with a 90lb chocolate lab that
loves camping as well. We still sit by the campfire, cook some REAL good meals
(we've done anything from hot dogs to spiced/marinated tenderloin kabobs to
straight up steak and potatoes. Usually when we camp we have about 4 sites on
average reserved right by each other, drink, mingle, play musical campsites for
half the day, and then toast it up towards the kids bedtime! :)

Definitely one of the best purchases I've ever made was this camper. I also
saved, stayed smart, etc. and paid cash for the dang thing. Also the first time
I did that with anything with wheels. :)
