  Okay, this is in the first break schizophrenic. From your original 
question, I wasn't clear on that part. It has been long established 
(largely from the pre-med days and also later on) that a certain number 
of people have only one psychotic break in their lives. 
     The main trouble is that there is no way to identify who is likely 
to do well with and without medications, so legally most shrinks are 
hesitatent to try it outside of studies that are hardly real world. Much 
of the other stuff is n=1 studies where in one person did well w/o meds, 
so all therefore must.
