I tried loading QEMM 7 and 7.5 but could not complete the optimize
portion of the install.  Hung my machine every time.  Found out later
that the problem was an incompatibility with of all things, my old hand
scanners driver loaded in my config.sys file.  Later tried 8.0 and it
loaded without a hitch because I had gotten a new sheetfed scanner last
Christmas.  Other than that one driver, my newer config.sys was
identical to the old one.
Thinking back on the QEMM problem and Geos, it seems like the problem
was with stealth mode.  I am running stealth (mapping method) with no
problems whatsoever. Without stealth, I couldn't get as much free memory
as what Dos Memmaker was giving me.
