TW> Actualy I am prepaired for something between $4 and $5 Wow! TW> And as the ARCO pr main said here in Southern California. TW> "WE charge what ever the Traffic will bear". Now there's a shocker. What gets me about the whole thing is located right in this city I live in. Our rush hour traffic lasts all day long and into the night and some people still tool around as though the price of gas was 29 cents a gallon. And then there are those with the SUVs and over-sized trucks that get about 8 miles per gallon. As long as there isn't a gas shortage, I think the public will be insanely happy to pay whatever the price is. It's sort of a Xanadu for them. TW> IE; They Raise the price untill the sales volume slows down then they TW> back off a bit. That makes sense if you think about it. I noticed last night, when passing the Shell station I get my gas, the price had risen 10 cents a gallon and that came after I filled up a couple of days before. Luckily, I get 17-19 MPG in the city and over 30 on the highway, depending on the direction of the wind, if I'm going uphill and if the A/C is running. TW> And in this day of Computerized Tracking they price by small areas. TW> As an example the El Cajon Valley where I live typicaly has some of the TW> Lower Prices in ther San Diego Area. Here, the price varies all over the place and that's why we have to look on the Internet for the cheapest place to buy gas before we even start the engine. It can be 12 miles away or 12 blocks away, but doing the foregoing saves time and money. Regards, Roger ...
