I don't know about the .NET version, but the Win32 version
(GetOpenFileName) allows you to specify a multiple selection option
(OFN_ALLOWMULTISELECT) that allows you to select more than one file at a
time (via ctrl-click). For an example of this, since you are using Outlook
Express, from the menu, choose Insert, File Attachement, and then try
selecting multiple files. It does not allow you to enter *.* though,
because the wildcards are acted on for the purpose of selecting what to
display in the dialog, and are not returned literally.

If you want to be able to return the literal "*.*", you might use
the .NET equivalent of SHBrowseForFolder to pick a folder and have a
separate edit control that allows the user to enter a wildcard string.
