It is indeed true that China, as well as many other countries, large and
small, have been dumping the US dollar, and converting large portions of
their currency reserve to the euro, for several years now.

Following is an excerpt from my January 2007 series "Saddam Hussein's
Execution And The Euro-Dollar War". While the list may be a little outdated,
it shows the nations which have been taking these steps:

It is my belief that the rise of the European Union, as well as the creation
of the euro, are some of the key reasons why friction exists between the USA
and Europe. Simply put, the United States simply does not like competition
when it comes to its foreign markets, and it views Europe as a serious
threat. Most wars have been over trade issues, but they have been disguised
as being about something else.
