After all, nothing is stopping you from using it now, yet I see nothing
from you in there. Dont whine about the rules, they arent anymore tougher
than they are in CROSSFIRE and you seem to be ok in there.

But if the echo interested you, you would have continued to use it
afterwards. Blaming the rules has nothing to do with it, you had no issue
with them at the time they got introduced, but a theory might be that most
of the rules applied to or came to be, because of Ceppa's actions.
