Hello Duncan!

I don't know how he did it, but it happened. I wasn't there when it
happened, but Bill said that it didn't work and smoke started coming out of
it. They pulled the plug and it remained that way until I got there (the
smoke wasn't still there when I saw it).
The bass player was the guy who did it, and he has enough adapter cables to
make me think maybe he did use the XLR output (or an input). They use the
mixer and a camcorder (mic and audio recorder) with the extra PA.
I opened it up and everything looked okay, nothing smelled burned. Put it
back together, no reverb. Swapped the first tube (12AT7) with a 12AX7 out of
my Blues Junior and it worked. I removed my 12AX7 and put a different 12AT7
back in and it didn't work. That was when I noticed a lot of heat on the
screw head above the power transformer. Bill said that it didn't normally
run that hot, so we pulled the plug.
C-ya! Rich
