Hello Jeff,

>LL>The concept of The Holy Trinity is not something that can be fully
>LL>explained in human terms, although it can be understood. Jews, Christian
>LL>and Muslims all believe in one God. Not two gods or three gods or
>LL>multiple gods. Only one God. Each have different ways, or
>LL>perspectives, of viewing that one God, but the belief in one God is
>LL>the same.

JS>Lee, I do not wish to enter into a debate with you,

Wha'? You no like debate? How about sharing some recipes? You
would love the new recipe I posted elsewhere, Catfood Helper. Great
way to stretch the dollar. Or the euro. Or the yuan. Or the yen.
Or the pound. Especially in these hard and trying economic times...

JS>but a clarification is in order here.

Either there is one god, multiple gods, or no god. Which is it?

JS>While Christianity, Judaism and Islam may all be monotheistic religions,

That would mean one god, not multiple gods or no god.

JS>that most certainly does not mean that the participants in those
JS>religions are al worshiping the same God. The Jewish "God" teaches
JS>that God has no son, and that He is one.

We are all of the blood of Abraham. Jews, Christians, and Muslims
alike. Belief in one God, all coming from the same family, is what
makes us brothers.

JS>The Muslim "God" likewise teaches that God has no son.

Muslims refer to God as Allah. So do many Christians.
Although Muslims do not accept Jesus (whom they call Isa)
as Messiah, it is not an absolute rejection. By their
understanding, we are all "sons of God" rather than any
single individual being the "Son of God."

JS>The Christian God clearly teaches that God the Father is one, but
JS>that He has a Son who died for the sins of the world, in order that
JS>we might obtain Forgiveness, Salvation and Eternal Life.

Who knows what the Christian god teaches?
Who knows what the Jewish god teaches?
Who knows what the Muslim god teaches?
Who knows what the Hindu god teaches?
Who knows what the Buddhist god teaches?
Who knows what the Atheist god teaches?

Just because man might portend to "know" what a particular god
teaches does not mean that he really knows beans about anything.

We are taught to believe what others want us to believe.
After all, who has seen the Face of God? Not me. Not you.
Not anybody else. At least, not anybody that I know of.

To believe is to doubt.
One must doubt to believe.

If I had seen the Face of God, I would KNOW of His existence.
Therefore, I would not believe. It would not even be possible
for me to believe, as I would have no doubt.

Jesus does not believe in God.
Satan does not believe in God.

Why should they?
Both have seen the Face of God.

JS>Obviously, all three gods can't be right, and two of them must be
JS>false...or are you suggesting that God likes argue with Himself and
JS>confuse people?

Who is to say any of those gods are right?
It is a matter of belief as to whether any one of them is right.
Or if any of them are right.

Belief is not dependent on proof.
We believe what we want to believe.
Whether that something is true or not.

None of the Apostles believed Jesus rose from the grave.
Not just Thomas. Read the gospel accounts. It's all in
there.

"Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe." - Jesus

Jesus was not talking only about a doubting Thomas.
