| subject: | BIOMETRICS AT THE GROCERY |
Hi, All: Digital imagery, and biometrics are now a part of the place where I work. There has been a "thumbprint" timeclock there for over a year now. But now, the customers cashing payroll checks have to use the same type of device, that takes their picture while they are pushing their thumbprint on the device. This used to be only for entering PIN's and such. It has been "upgraded" with a digital camera and a "biometric recorder" (It takes a record of your thumbprint) Ken * 1st 2.00 #9098 * (A)bort, (R)etry, (I)gnore, (K)ick system? --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 @PATH: 123/140 500 379/1 633/267 |
