Hello Vague,
CS>> Lee, we have THOUSANDS of health care professionals between the
CS>> branchs. capable of giving shots.
LL>> No argument there. Grunt soldiers can be taught many skills.
LL>> Including how to administer shots. Six weeks of basic training,
LL>> plus maybe a few hours on how to lock and load a syringe, the
LL>> they are ready to go!
V> As a Disable Veteran that was a Combat Medic, I can attest that Lee is NOT
V> correct.
How hard can it be for a guy or gal fresh out of high school
(or with a GED) to give a stranger a jab in the arm with a loaded
syringe? Even old grunts who are disabled vets can do that.
V> That training is not given to the vast majority of soldiers.
You are talking about giving folks a jab in the arm with a syringe.
Really not all that hard to do. Of course, first you have to load it,
but we're not talking total idiots here.
V> That training is MOS specific or available to a handful of soldiers
selected
V> by their units to attend the Combat Medic course.
This is not open heart surgery or brain transplants. Grab a syringe,
load it up, and shoot your next victim. That's all there is to it.
V> The overwhelming majority of soldiers do not get trained in the
admistration
V> of injections.
This is not rocket science.
V> That being said, there are STILL thousands of health care professionals
V> between the branchs capable of giving vaccinations, as Carol said.
Carol admitted I was right, that President Biden ordered thousands
of US military to do what they are doing. Why you have a problem with
that is beyond me.
CS>> The gap is we do not have shots to give. Same as everyone else.
V> Fact.
Our troops will use everything they get in order to fulfill their
mission. And continue the operation for as long as it is needed.
LL>> Not to worry. Help is on the way. President Biden has ordered
LL>> millions of gallons more of that good stuff to distribute to the
LL>> troops. And if that is not enough, he will order more. And more.
LL>> And more. As much as necessary. After all, this is a war we are
LL>> fighting. A war against a pandemic.
V> Good... but I sense sacrcasm in your reply, Lee.
Unlike private citizen Donald J. Trump, President Biden is totally
serious about winning this war. And he does have a plan, which he has
already enacted.
V> I also fail to see a problem with providing enough vaccinations during a
V> pandemic.
I'm sure our troops are up to the job they have been trained to do.
CS>> Stop being an idiot on this one.
LL>> President Joe Biden is also Commander-in-Chief.
LL>> Donald J. Trump is just a private citizen.
LL>> Lee Lofaso is a special case.
V> Water is wet.
V> The Sun is hot.
V> Vaccines work and save lives.
And if no troops are used to administer those vaccines to people
who need and want them, what good will it do? And what about those
people who refuse to get vaccinated? Those anti-vaxxers are putting
not only themselves at risk, but also everybody else. Maybe it would
be better if President Biden were to order everybody to be shot on
sight. That way, we all will get it. Whether we like it, or not.
