 :) Tom? We were surprised too by the key card mechanism being
effected  by the proximity of a cell phone. NO idea why. Just what.

Reminds me of way way way back when automatic garage door openers
first came in vogue. Your remote control frequency could operate your
neighbor's garage door opener if the frequency happened to be the
same. This happened with us and a neighbor kitty corner to us a good
100 yards or so away. That was the weirdest thing! Took us and our
neighbors awhile before we realized what was going on. Being home and
seeing your neighbor open their door and yours magically opens at the
same time. That did it! We got the frequencies changed. Nowadays that
situation is avoided all together.
