subject: Them troubling tetras...

-> Thanks Eric, I have plans of adding 4 neons. The red eye somehow jumped
-> out of the breeding net the next day. He seems to have settled a bit, but
-> I'm
 What I've been told of Neons by my local fish store guy is that they are one
of several fish that aren't captive bred to any great degree, if at all. So,
the ones you see in the stores are caught the old poison the water and net
ut
the stunned floaters method. As such, they are very stressed by the time they
get to the store.
 This is why they are usually a little more expensive then other tetras...
ts
a good idea to have the store isolate them for a few days if they're willing.
My store will, but I would be buying a dozen.
 I have an even dozen now for almost a year. In teh beginning I lost 4 and
replaced them, and so far so good.
 I've seen a thread on Discus and am considering adding some of these in teh
near future.
