Most of the old timers here recall the old fidonet where messages had about a 3
day lag, on good weeks. :)

Now using the inet you get messages posted a few hours ago. 

I feel very fortunate to have lived in times I've experienced.  Watch TV grow
from 10 inch B/W to god knows what size, HD color.

Cars where you did a valve job every 20-30k, now the engines go 150k and you
never pop the head. (Good thing too as I can't even find the Head in my car
it's covered up with so much stuff.)  :)

Movies from B/W with a rare color now and again, to 3d, but have to admit
content has gone to hell.  

Then the data stuff - mind boogles at that.

Oh, have to add the days of a blue collar guy getting a job that paid enough to
buy a home, a car, and raise a family - granted a few lean times but we made
t.

Looks like those days are gone too.
