I disagree...What can be said in just a few words to make the contact,
requires a long session of morse code to relate the same info.

True to a point. OTH, being capable of making more contacts is the name of
the game in contesting. The quality of the contact means nothing.

If you wish to be successful and not waste a lot of time, more power will
do the trick. Having to pick a QRP signal out of the log jam isn't what
I'd call a great day.
