Tuvan throat singing is simply amazing. If you haven't heard the album 'gone with the wind' by Altai-Hangai you should see whether you can get hold of a copy. I bought mine behind the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, where the group was performing in the park... Stunning stuff. (I first heard throat singing on a flexidisk bound into the back of Ralph Leighton's book 'Tuva or Bust!' about another hero of mine, Richard Feynman. It's not actually that hard to do with practice, but controlling it is a swine.)
