Bummer... it's the crunchy part that makes them so good!
My peas are hanging in there, despite the attack of the killer racing
striped grasshoppers - masses of them have moved into the area (escaped
from a nursery per the news) and they're hopping around in packs.
They're munching on the leaves mostly and so far I still have peas - but
the plants are just now starting to die back.
