To throw in more complications, there are certain Pagan filks which refer
to classical gods, such as Leslie Fish's "White Men's Rain Chant." I'm
often not quite sure how literally the references in such songs are meant.
So to clarify my original point: religious songs and filk songs are
distinct categories, but yes, it is possible for a song to belong to both.
