subject: UNSUBSCRIBE??

-> Hello,
-> because I have to travel for several weeks I wanted to unsubscribe
-> for the next time because my mailbox will flow over and possilbly
-> important business messages will be deleted automatically by our
-> cruel mailhost. I tried it with
->
-> LISTSEV@AIRGUNHQ.COM
must be LISTSERV
->
->       Unsubscribe
->
-> All my email addresses (3) of the last year (one after the other in
-> separate emails)
->
-> and was never successful because the server claims that I am not in
-> the subscriber's list. Who is able to give me a helpful hint how to
-> come out??? Thanks in advance!
It sounds like the real problem is you are not unsubscribing from the
exact same address that you subscribed from. If you have your mail
forwarded, if you change your email client configuration even slightly
as it affects your FROM address, or if your Internet provider changes
their server configuration, your unsubscribe won't work because the
LISTSERV robot sees you as a different address. for example, some
people subscribed with an address of "user@msn.com" but then something
changed and when they tried to unsubscribe their address was
"user@mail.msn.com" . This is not the fault of the LISTSERV, computers
are very literal. I'll look through the address list and remove you
manually.
Jim
