Are you using eleweb or elebbs?  Mike Ehlert (using blat) wrote a script
which is availabe on thebbs.org's bbs archive site in the elebbs script
section.  It works quite well.  It sends (like sbbs does) a numeric password
to the address and requires the user to enter it for access.  It also
employs the ability to filter out free email addresses (you can add to the
list, or subtract from it as you like) in the case of throw-away accounts
and some other neat features, like customizable prompts (of course, you can
do that with any script) so you can make ansi forms or whatever.

Has anyone ever tried to set up a users verification?  I have had several
individuals log in using filthy names and ficticious email addys.

I know that those type users are few and far between, but I hate for even
one name like that to be in the userlist for anyone else to see.
