Hi Oscar!
OW> I was looking at an old fido file this morning got all
OW> misty eyed so looked on
OW> the Inet and found this BBS thought great I'll look up
OW> the Avation echo Oh
OW> dear all but dead Hi Mike Luther & Ward Dossche I
OW> remember your names. Does
OW> Fidonet still exist ? Where can I get a good feed ( fido not food )?
You bet FidoNet still exists. Some echos are still pretty active. Some
are sure not. I gather, from the Region 2 source from which you made this
post, you probably are in Region 2. Thus a feed source from wherever in
Europe you might hook up with isn't really a takeoff forward from Region 1
over here in the USA, grin. Since a huge part of FidoNet is now fed via IP
connectivity via BinkP, TelNet or FTP connections or things like that,
phone line costs aren't really the big issue it used to be. Ward will
probably offer you comments - his venue is your arena!
Certainly cheaper than flying an airplane all over the place every day just
to talk about aviation, grin!
--> Sleep well; OS/2's still awake! ;)
