Because I wouldn't be allowed to take the helm. I'm not a control freak,
per se, but I do like to be in charge. I'd even want to pilot a plane, if
I were qualified. I had a BASIC program way back when, now lost because of
that [CENSORED] hurricane in '05. It was written by an airline pilot and
you get to sit at your console and fly a 747 on instruments only. Just
getting it off the ground was problematical because of crosswinds. A whole
bunch of stuff ensued after you successfully got the jet off the ground and
then I learned what VOR and VFR (among other things) was all about. The
name of that program was FLIGHT.BAS. At the time, I bought my first
compiler and made an EXE file of it so it would run faster. Things got
very interesting after that. (-:
I wish I could find that program. I miss it.
