And your admission that you'd lied about that; ("My claim about seeing plane

the heat you thought it would. Because all those people who had gone to bat
for you over that and many other things, went dead silent for a long time
(they must have felt about knee-high to a slug, after coming to your aid, only
to see you more or less admit that you lied)!
