Plato wrote extensively about Atlantis in two of his works. Like
Doggerland, it has sunk beneath the waves forever. However, there
are remnants of that civilization that have been discovered, and
are being studied by archeaologists. One site is located at
Poverty Point in Louisiana. Only about 1% of the area has been
excavated. The area is a miniature reproduction of Atlantis.
As Plato describes it in his works. Did survivors of Atlantis
settle in Louisiana, near the Mississippi River? Native Americans
in the area say they did not build it, but people from before
their time. There is much we do not know about the past. Maybe,
just maybe, Plato knew what he was writing about.
