| subject: | Laser - pilot interference |
In conversation with a close and highly informed friend of mine today who
is also a high time pilot, the latest laser shine-into cockpit deal that
has been publicly reported in the USA news turned up today.
It was posted on the USA news that New Jersey, Ohio and now Houston were
sites where this has been done of late.
In the conversation with this gent, he mentioned that the issue in
Cleveland had actually been run down to a given house where the beam was
initiated. It became a location of interest and while nothing was
recovered from that .. it also is now suggested that the beam can and does
actually track cockpit movement during the episode. It appears they were
trying to hit the pilot's eyes during approach to landings.
Thoughts? Anyone else here got any more 'information?
