Thanks for the reply about my Quickstart install
problems. I went back over what I had done so far
and realized that I had made an error in pkunzip
usage that resulted in no directories on the XT.
So the "fatal error" was that SETUP couldn't
find anything! I reinstalled using the -d switch
and was able to run SETUP okay up to the mouse
driver part.
Somebody gave me an old mouse and I think there is
a problem with the driver. The solution is to buy
a new mouse. Other than that I think I'm in business.
I am quite amazed to discover that something as sophisticated
as Geoworks will actually run on an XT.
Of course that's no particular advantage anymore for
Geoworks, but it sure is fun to see. The next thing
I'm going to do is add DR-DOS to the stew and see if
I can get a DOS internet suite like Nettamer or Minuet
to run at the same time.
Once again, thanks for your help. How are things going
in Korea? I hope its not too hard being away from your
family.
