You have to "beware" of grounding your audio system to the tv speakers
because the ground on the tv may actually be a live ac power line...
It wouldn't do to fry your audio system or yourself and a 50 amp fuse!!!
Are your fire insurance premiums all paid up in time?

Why don't you get the line-level signals off a VCR instead?
