Hello All!
Just a quick question - Does anybody know what port 721 is used for under
Linux??
Occasionally, I have a lot of open connections to it, from my local machine:
tcp 1 0 localhost:8392 localhost:721 TIME_WAIT
tcp 1 0 localhost:8396 localhost:721 TIME_WAIT
tcp 1 0 localhost:8399 localhost:721 TIME_WAIT
tcp 1 0 localhost:8400 localhost:721 TIME_WAIT
tcp 1 0 localhost:8401 localhost:721 TIME_WAIT
[cut]
I'm sure it must be some program loaded by inetd, or similar, but I've not
got a clue what it could be.
Port 721 isn't listed in RFC 1700 (Assigned Numbers), and it's not in my
/etc/services either, so I'm stumped.
Has anybody else experienced similar problems, and discovered the cause of
it??
Many thanks,
Jonathan
