Replying to a message of TOM WALKER to RICHARD WEBB:

TW> The over the Air is getting smaller and smaller with time and it is
TW> not almost too small for them to bother with. In fact I suspect there
TW> wil be a Sharp decline as peopel face the BIG problems in a lot of
TW> areas in recieving the Digital Signals. Saddly those that cannot
TW> afford Cable or Sat service will just have to do without their
 TW> current selection of stations.

Sadly?? I haven't watched television in over 25 years, except for a week
immediately following 9/11/2001. I haven't even bothered to install a TV
antenna in the house here (I have one, I just haven't installed it).

TW> Being one that resists change have
TW> been fighting goiong to Cable for many years. But it is gettign
TW> haerdewr and harder to equip ones antenna systems. YES the bacic
TW> antwenna is stil avialble but for one that needs Multipule mant
TW> things of days gone by jsut are no longer avialble, OR if avilable at
TW> a price only hte Right can afford. In my case I have Three different
TW> directions to contend with if I want al of hte Local Stations. Luckly
TW> my main interest is only in the Three Major Networks with narrows the
TW> directions to Two. BUT still things like reasonabvle priced TV
TW> Channel Band Pass filters are no longer avilable at reasonable
TW> prices. Even hinks like Hi/Low channel combiners are not easily
TW> avialble. These thoings are Manditory i nFrindge areas even for
TW> Analog An tenna Systems and are Manditory for the critical of Signal
TW> to Noise Ratio Digital TV

Apparently the analog TV signals are going away in about a year. I could get
one of those coupons for a d/a converter box for my TVs but I don't think I'll
bother.
