Replying to a message of TOM WALKER to BOB ACKLEY:

BA>> I'm old enough to remember gasoline for $0.25/gallon and at the same
BA>> time diesel was $0.09/gallon. For many years diesel was much less
BA>> expensive than gasoline. Note now that the demand for diesel is
BA>> way, way up - due I think in the most part to the proliferation of
BA>> OTR rigs; there have always been semis on the road, just not in the
BA>> numbers that have been there for probably the past decade. And the
BA>> number of rigs, and consequently the dema for diesel, is increasing
BA>> - even ignoring all the other users of diesel, whi are also
 BA>> increasing.

TW> Gasloine here just reached $3.52 per gallon with diesel at corner gas
 TW> stations at $3.89!!!

A couple of days ago in Red Oak (12 miles east) unleaded was $3.20, E10 was
$3.10, E85 was $2.65 and diesel was $3.57. The same day E10 in Malvern (12
miles west) was $2.97. E85 is up about a dollar in less than six months.
