If it realy came from French then it has something to do with "Fat
Thursday".
Which nicely matches Thursday for "In 2003 76 Days - Mission Trip to Mardi
Gras 2004 - New Orleans, LA, USA" and "In 2003 426 Days - Mission Trip to
Mardi Gras 2005 - New Orleans, LA, USA". But 1 weekday off for "In 2003 810
Days - Mission Trip to Mardi Gras 2006 - New Orleans, LA, USA" and "In 2080
7000 Days until Mardi Gras 2100". If my calculation correct :-).
