Only rescuing Parliament and no-one else?  That would have Fawkes
killing his real target, King James, but just without any useless,
toadying politicians as collateral damage?

Interesting...  Not what I would've expected from a fervent monarchist
like you.

Personally I'd rather the Doctor helped Fawkes kill both the King and
the politicians, changing history for the better.
