Same way, have you ever noticed an animal, be it dog or cat seems to realize 
when you are sick. They act different towards you. Dogs seem to want to spend 
more time with you than they already do. Kinda like they are trying to 
protect you or watch over you until you are well again. Maybe it's just me, 
but I have noticed that quite often with My animals.
