subject: Cross Band

-> Hello All!
->
-> I am a newly licensed operator and I was wondering if any one would
-> know how I could set up an IC 2350H Icom transceiver to work on
-> cross band. There is nothing in the operator's manual that came with
-> it to explain how or (if) this can be accomplished. I do not have a
-> service manual.
 If nothing is mentionad in the Book you will possabibly need an
externial controller. All cross band does in feed the recieved signal
from one band into the Mike input of the other band, attentuated
appropratly of course. Most dual band units can be adapted this way.
 I am courious about yuor intended application though. Cross Band
operation is rarelly necessary and is typicaly only used in emergencies,
or at times tying two repeaters together for some type of special Net
operation.
