This is my 4th or 5th msg to you on same subject. No useful response so far.
1.  On Feb 6, 1996 I wrote outlining troubles I was having trying to connect
and receive data from a local bank using their furnished software. The bank's
software specifically listed the SupraFax modem and automatically furnished
the, supposedly, correct initiation string for it.  The initiation string
looked suitable, based on my amateur experience.
2.  I received no answer.  In May, I wrote again, quoting the first msg and
adding that when I found and installed my old Zoom 2400, the connection
worked fine.
3.  You replied that (words, more or less) "you were not surprised that the
Zoom 2400 worked , and that if I had added a couple of 'no error correcting'
items to my initiation string, the SupraFax would have worked fine". I also
had told you that the bank furnished com program would report "logged on" (or
some such words) but that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WOULD TRANSPIRE AFTER THAT until
the bank hung up. You replied that "I had connected"(or words to that
effect). Yeah.  If I wrote the the President of the US complaining about all
the BS, I would have connected, for all the good it would do.
4.  I replied, but didn't point out to you (as I probably should have) the
initiation string furnished to me was that which Supra furnished to the Bank
service co programmers, and which was specifically marked as "tested and
known to work properly".
    I did tell you that, since my second msg to you, my modem had failed
completely. It first began to 'hang' and wouldn't release the phone line til
I turned off the AC power. Then it began intermittently to not return a
"connected" string after my modem and any BBS/internet modem had traded
tones as usual.  That continued getting worse til finally , no connects
period.
    I also pointed out that my modem was in for repair Nov (?) 95.  I asked
if I should send it in for repair, or what?
5.  Now a couple of weeks and no answer.
