As far as i can tell, it does that in EVERYONE that takes it, but in
kids with ADD, that is what they need to combat a brain that is
underdeveloped in a specific (Attention focusing) area.
It seems that kids without AD(H)D also have grade improvement while
on Ritalin, but they DON'T need it to handle school, where most of our
kids do.
