North Carolina wreck dives often run 2-4 hours cruising time each way.

Hiatal hernia is more likely to cause heartburn.  I've never heard of it 
causing motion sickness.....which doesn't mean that you're not right.  Just 
the same, I consider motion sickness an inner ear problem.
