SH> As long as you are hale and hearty and your home is in one piece, you can SH> say you dodged the bullet. We acknowledge that the hurricane hit Houma. We call it differently down here, Steven. Dodging the bullet is missing one altogether. SH> Well, that ;s good to hear. :-) Any time you come through one of those "Evil Eyes" unscathed, then you can be absolutely sure that somebody up there likes you. SH> I'd agree with you. We've been watching footage of Ike coming ashore all SH> day. Were you hit by the projected rains and gusts? A little rain and the skies remained overcast for a couple of days (this should end today) and gusts of wind from 29-40 MPH. Put quite a damper on the restoration of electric power to the rest of the city still without. Many of the commercial areas are without power, but we did find a restaurant open yesterday doing a land office business. Somebody forgot to take a sign off the door which read "Closed at 8PM because of the curfew." The curfew we were under for hurricane Gustav was 24-hours and that lasted almost a week. SH> I think Ms. Palin is just a bit too naive for a vice presidential SH> candidate but she sure is interesting. I don't see her that way at all, but time will tell.
