Maybe you're going about it the wrong way, Michael. It might be simpler
to rent one, which is not hard to do in this country. If you're going to
buy one, they'll want a "permanent address" in this country.
You ought to be able to arrange with a suitable travel agent or
"outfitter" for the trip, rental/use of a shotgun and various hunting
licenses, and so forth. (Outfitter is the term for someone who arranges
and/or furnishes supplies for a hunting trip.)
At least then you wouldn't need to be concerned with what to do with the
shotgun once your trip is over.
