You brought her up to justify Kennedy's misdeed.

If her incident was really an issue on par with Kennedy's, it would have
inhibited Georges chances of any public office, including the unseating of
a then very popular Democratic incumbent Governor of Texas.

People with money getting off easier because of it can be a given because
they can afford better legal counsel.

However the actions that younger Laura took arent even on par with Kennedy's.

Whats mind blowing is the people of Massachusetts continued to re-elect the
fool or that the people of West Virginia continued to re-elect Robert Byrd,
despite him being KKK.

Of course you really havent said much about the rumblings coming from
Massachusetts to get the state law changed to have someone appointed
immediately to serve in Kennedys seat until the mandated special election
takes place.. There was talk of doing that in 2004 when Kerry was running
for President, in the off chance he won. The Dems shot that idea down
because the Governor of that state was GOP, but in the here and now is a
DEM.
