-> RJ> Just curious - are there still any electrified lines in the RJ>

-> Not in the northwestern US, but there are two isolated
-> lines in the western and southwestern US, one at Lake Powell, the
-> other in western Colorado.
->
-> Also I believe one in northeast Texas.
->
-> All connected with power plants or mines.
    Hmmm, a few years ago, on vacation, I was driving from Flagstaff AZ to
Durango CO. Somewhere there in either northern AZ or southern UT I was
vaguely able to make out, next to the highway I was on, what appeared to be
an electrified railway which eventually ran into what looked like some sort
of mine, quarry, or power plant operation. It was dark so I could see much
detail other than an elevated roadbed on some catenary.
   I mentioned it to some acquaintances later and somebody said it was the
Black Canyon or Black Mesa (?) operation.
   But I was wondering about mainline railroads, other than in the northeast,
that might still be electrified. You say all of the old stuff in the
northwest is gone, eh? Too bad...
I am Ronald McDonald of Borg. Would you like fries with your assimilation?
